  21. First, let me first disqualify my statements by saying that while I'm 
  22. not a novice when it comes to the Amiga I'm not really an expert either.  
  23. (I tend to focus more on using my machine than trying to figure out how 
  24. *everything* works.)

  26. try this... 1) "show all files" from the windows menu
  27.             2) select the icon for foo
  28.             3) select "information" from the icons menu
  29.                if the "deletable" box isn't checked, then you may have found 
  30.                your problem.  If it is checked then you know that it isn't 
  31.                because the file is protected

  33. If that fails you could just ignor it (maybe it'll go away :)
